Social Introvert.

Have you ever sat down and really thought about how much time you spend on social media?  And I am not just talking about scrolling through Facebook, but also spent on Facebook Messenger?  Or other apps like SnapChat, Instagram, Twitter just to name a few.  I did, and I decided to get off of them one, at, a time.  I thought I'd start with the one I use the most (Facebook/Messenger) and then the one I use the least in a week if I survived (SnapChat).  Want to know how I am doing?  I miss my family & friends that's how, apparently the only way we socialize with each other these days are through apps.  It's kind of crazy to think about isn't it?  I feel a little alone in my quest.

I have not decided if I'll get rid of Twitter (though I don't really use it except to see what is happening with Tim Tebow or the Red Sox).  I do enjoy reading those from time to time; and I don't think I can do away with Instagram - though I have several accounts - I may cut it down to one or two.  Maybe even delete this blog-so I am even that much more removed from my online presence.  I used to think it was necessary for my business - and then of course socializing and staying in touch with friends and family.

I have not really heard from many people since I stopped viewing their stuff, or stopped posting.  I text my daughter, or try to call her.  I text some of my friends, but one thing is for sure - my mind is a bit more clear (even though I miss people) it's not muddled up with drama, political bullshit or the same things over and over again!  It's been a nice break-I may never go back! LOL!  I am giving it another week to see how I feel.
