Maylee Jean

Two of my favorite things, Maylee Jean (my first born niece) and dandelions (okay I love the light too) These area few years old, but I wanted to share!

Sometimes you do a favor for a friend. I did a quick head shot session with sweet Bess on Friday, she just needed a few for some stuff she was working on ...this one is my favorite.....edited the way I like to edit....the ones she got were much more of a clean edit for publishing and what not ;) This is not really my specialty, but I do love doing things to make others happy-when I can......

Model: Lily/Camera Test 1

Recently, I posted on my blog & on facebook that I was looking for a few models. I had a lot of volunteers, including this beauty Lily. We got together last Sunday at the river & did a test run/camera test. I didn't want to direct her or pose her - but to just see how comfortable she was in front of the camera & see how she'd photography so I could possibly use her as a model for a project I am working on. It's safe to say she nailed it. She is gorgeous, and very photogenic. I can't wait to work with her again soon!

Lily Modeling

I put out a facebook cry for help recently, asking for some people to volunteer themselves or maybe their children to model for me. I had several responses, and this Sunday I was able to meet up with my first model volunteer.

We decided to do our camera test at the river right about sundown. We just walked the bank and I just asked her to act natural while I shot. I wanted to see what her level of comfort was & how she'd photograph. Our next session will be guided with pose ideas, because she did beautifully & is very very photogenic. Seriously, how lucky am I?

Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but she's beautiful on the inside. Such a wonderful young lady. I feel pretty blessed that she's so willing to drive out to meet me and go on crazy adventures with me - all the while I am snapping photos of her.

We used these gorgeous locations this weekend & really made magic together. The lighting was so incredible at the river-I couldn't help but stop and look at some of the images I had captured of her-I was like OMG GOOSE BUMPS....and I turned the camera round for her to see and she screamed "DON'T STOP SHOOTING".....which only made us pause to laugh at how silly & excited we were.....thanks girl....you made my day!!!!

Oh happy is the day that this beautiful young lady offered to model for me. We really made magic together. I'd like to thank you Seven Hills Farms for allowing us to use your beautiful property to take these images. Everything about this day and session was perfect....the hair, the outfits, the sunlight, the weather - we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!
