New Clothes - 2025

Update & SOFA PURCHASE

Well, this experience with purchasing a new home has not been the fastest or the easiest.  We have waited months for a building permit, which should normally only take a few business days.  We have been told "oh yeah that's happening next week" one to many times.  Now, don't get me wrong, I do not care if things take a while, if there is no choice or option in that-but I cannot stand being led on or lied to.  Anyway, tomorrow is the day our house should start being "installed" on our property.  That's the plan anyway, if that will happen, who knows!  When you've been told 10 stories and told 10 times something was going to happen, and all 10 times it didn't happen-the 11th time you're told something you are just a small bit skeptical lol!

Anyway, because I am still a hopefully (silly soul) I did go ahead and purchase our new SOFA.  Here she is, gorgeous right?  I purchased this from Albany Park & this photo isn't mine but this is the exact set up we got, and color.  Cannot wait for her to arrive & hopefully by the time she arrives the house will be ready for her!

Favorite Bra

Well, it happened!  I need to buy a new bra, I need to replace one that is now to big.  The one that is to big is my favorite bra though, and I've had it for years.  It doesn't adjust in the band-as it is a snap closure-so the fit can't be made smaller (unless I sew it I guess-but not willing to go that far).

So I ran to my online store that I like to get my bras and hoped for the best, hoped they had one similar - or if I was lucky the same one that I could get in a smaller band size.

Mask you Mug

Yesterday, during my lunch break I took some time to grab a few things I needed from the grocery store.  In my county it is still mandatory to wear face masks while food shopping in almost all the stores-which is fine, except I feel like I can not breath in them most of the time.  That makes me anxious, and I am already anxious by being in the store in the first place.  I hate going to the grocery store-I hate the way people treat each other, no one is ever nice.  People act like you're in their way all the time, people take up the entire isles instead of sharing the walk space, I just leave most of the time really stressed out.

So my shopping experience started to take a downward spiral when I was looking at the chicken breasts and I catch an older lady standing with her cart pointed right towards mine, really close.  I look over at her, and she clearly wants to be right where I am at and she is staring me down, and I can still see the scowl even through her mask.  I look back at the chicken and she inches closer-I look again, and she is scowling and staring.  I mouth the words "FUCK YOU LADY", in a silent whisper, and it hit me-I can do this to all the assholes that are rude.

By the time I was in the check out line, I had told about a half dozen people off and my mood was lighter, I was laughing-behind my mask.

My first SHEIN order!

 Well, first I'll just say-the shipping time is totally insane.  I see on TikTok that some buyers got their items like just a few days later, mine was ordered on October 8th and I didn't receive it until October @@.

Second, I was hoping everything would come that was ordered & would fit, here is what I ordered:

Here is my review of what I received (ranking 1-10):

Low cut maroon floral top 2(oddly made, small boob area, sleeves are to short, and so is the shirt)

Light distressed hem denim 2(oddly made, huge up top, not high waist, to short, way to big and stretchy)

Black Zip Up Sports Bra 2(oddly made, big in most of the areas like under the arm pit)

Yellow bralette 1(oddly made, to big-cups basically just cover your nipples)

Button up Dark Jeans 1(SHORT, not high waisted, fit was okay)

Green Off the Shoulder Sweater 4(seems well made, can be worn off either shoulder, to short-comes to waist)

Black Legging/Workout Pants 6(short, but they make my ass look amazing-but is basically the only thing I like in the entire box-and I don't love them)

All items arrive together:  Yes

Quality of items:  Meh

Fit: Meh

Cute Factor: Meh

Would you order for again?  No.

New Rug-YES!

One of the most interesting things about being "safe at home" is that you are "bored at home" at times, and you may shop to improve your surroundings.  One thing I am slightly obsessed with is curtains, pillows, and rugs.  Yeah, it's weird I know but it's my thing.

Going back a few weeks (a month) a co-worker and I were chatting about rugs and she told me about some nice ones she got on Amazon, that didn't break the bank!  So, I looked into the brand she was telling me about-found one I liked and ordered it.  I even ordered a big one, 8x10 WHAT?

I wasn't expecting much for $120 but with Maggie's review, I was hopeful!

I wasn't disappointed, what a great rug!  I love it.  Thank you Magster!  ❤

DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone that knows me knows that I am not much of a dress person.  But I recently was watching a plus size Youtuber show off some stuff she bought at Target.  I was interested in seeing how she looked in these outfits since she was a little bigger then me, but had a very similar body type.  She looked amazing.  I went straight to Target.com to get the dress, and it was of course sold out.  Thanks to Poshmark.com I was able to find this dress eventually & buy it. It sat in my closet for months until I got the nerve to just put it on and wear it to work.

Compliments were plenty, I felt pretty!  I love it.  I think I need to wear more dresses <3 What do you think?

New Outfit/New Size.....

This weekend I am on the hunt for my FitBit Charge 3 band, size small.  That is something I really thought I would say, even though my wrists are small for my size-since being on WW they are even smaller.  I am down about 10 pounds now, and that apparently is in my wrists & ankles lol!

Today, I am wearing a pair of jeans I bought me for the future.  I bought them because they were on sale, $30 regularly $70!  I got them in a size 16 so I would have at least one pair of jeans when I lost enough weight.  When they came in the mail, I pulled them out and said out loud "damn these things are small, glad they have some stretch to them...no way they'll fit me now!".  And then I shrugged my shoulders and attempted to put them on, and they actually fit like a glove!  WHAT?  Voodoo!

 & so my story continues.....

Fab Fit Fun (box review)

So what was in my box?

& how do I feel about everything?  Well, I basically love everything-it's all great if not fantastic quality.  But the box was huge-and the items were small.  Seemed like they could have just put it all in a smaller box & saved a lot of excess waste in all the packaging and "stuffing" they used to fill up the space. Plus it came with paper that was cut up like Easter Grass....and.  I. Hate. Easter. Grass!

The scarf is probably my favorite item (even though the Easter Grass crap was all in the little fringes).  It's so soft, and it's going to be so warm for winter (maybe it will get really cold here in Florida a few days and I can wear it).  The Kate Spade lunch bag is cute, but small.  Looks well made!  The earrings are cute too, not really my style at all-so I am not sure what I'll do with them at this point.  The lotion is nice, and my husband really liked the clean scent so he is now the proud owner of that.  The body wash/cubes smell really great-we have not tried them out yet.  I did try out the under eye gold patchy things....didn't really do anything but it was fun to have the kids look at me like I was crazy :D The eye liner is cool, and I do wear that once in a while so I'll probably keep those!  The hair stuff, we will see if we have a use for that.

Over all, I probably won't get another one since I don't really feel I'll get anything really useful, I am not really that into make up or body washes!  But if you're wanting to try out some new things here is a code for $15 off to try it out :) --->CLICK HERE<---

Strapless? Yeah so what!

So, a few years ago me and my cousin Nora and I would send each other funny snapchat photos, just being silly!  One day she asked me "are you naked?" lol the horror - NO SILLY, "I am wearing a strapless shirt"....she informed me that people do NOT wear strapless shirts anymore.  Now mind you, I don't and wouldn't wear one in public but this top was strictly something I wore to bed lol!  Well, sorry Cousin Nora, but your girl bought a new strapless top and she does plan on wearing it in PUBLIC!  The horror I know-now mind you-I will wear this beauty with a cardigan or my denim jacket (probably also out of style) but  yeah-apparently it is still fashionable!  lol-either that or I am just way out of the fashion loop.  Stranger things have happened.
