My mom text me a photo of bunny pancakes, and right away I knew Olivia and I had to make them. Here is our version-which is almost the same as the version my mom sent me, and sadly I don’t know who to credit for this original idea. Sorry about that. But thanks for sharing and inspiring us to make bunny butt pancakes. Our bunny was not amused, but my honey bunny was <3

Happy "Almost" Holidays!
So, the unthinkable happened. My camera stopped functioning during a little mini session with my kiddos. This caused me to have to turn down a few photo sessions this fall-which sucks because everyone loves a little extra cash around the holidays.
But the good news is, I did manage to get a few cute pics of the kids & the camera is fixable (away being fixed now) so in the meantime, please take a look at the photos I got of my sweet babes..(the ones left in the nest anyway). As you can see from the photos-only one was willing to "model" for me lol

Baseball & Easter Eggs
Last night was our last game in the SMAC ornament. FWMS went to the championship game, against a team that had beaten us all year long, LBMS! Guess what, they beat us again! The kids were so disappointed, mainly Xander since he was the starting pitcher. He said "they started hitting off me and I couldn't get any help in the in or out field!". It was true, the kids were all just having a bad day & it just went down hill with the first error. I love my son, but X can be a bit of a bear when he feels the slightest injustice against him & being pulled out of the game really got in his craw.
This weekend we have a lot of things planned, today for example Billy is getting up early to put new brakes on the truck, and have the property mowed. Tomorrow we're having some company over (lots of kids) for a big family dinner in celebration of Easter. Sunday we're heading out to the hunting camp to celebrate Easter with Billy's family! Monday, I am working on taxes and spending the day with my sweet boys! Olivia is pretty excited about dying eggs & having the Easter Bunny visit the house, she won't stop talking about it. She also doesn't understand why the basket she brought home from school today had to be cleaned of easter grass before it could enter the house-lol! I hate easter grass....with a passion!
In other news, I think my sweet baby bro is finally happy again! He's coming over on Saturday with his new girlfriend (her kids) and of course Shawn & Layla. He texted and said he was "excited" about the visit, and I have not heard him talk that way in over a year. It really warmed my heart. I think it has a lot to do with this new lady in his life, and the fact that he's finally away from the Polk Correctional System ;) either way, I am super happy for this great guy!
We have a Hobby Lobby in LC now, and I've been & it's amazing. It's nice to have something I enjoy doing (shopping at Hobby Lobby) so close to home, and not in a busy part of town like the one in Gainesville is in. Olivia and I went there on Monday this week and toured around. She found lots of stuff she wanted of course, and so did I. I kept texting B showing him what new things we'd soon be looking at in our home, lol!
Happy Easter Loves!

It's Looking like Christmas Ya'll
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas guys.....just 23 more days. Just 20 more days until Gavin comes home for Alaska on leave. Our family can't wait to see him, we missed him very much and are very proud of him.
This is the first year that I feel so good about the holidays that I am going to bake and make treats for my family members to share and even give away as gifts. This isn't something I often do, so they are all in for a very nice treat ;).
Why do I feel so good about it you ask? Well I am just about done with my Christmas shopping. I have to pick up a gift for my MIL & my teenage nephew Dylan...and that's it aside from treats for the stockings, which is always just yummy candy, gum and a new toothbrush lol! Maybe this year I'll toss in a pocket knife or a flashlight ;)
This year hasn't been a great one, so many disappointments and sadness.....but it hasn't been worthless, we've grown, we've learned new things & we've experienced new things as well. All of which are something to be grateful for, at least I am grateful for them! Through good times and bad, there is always light at the end. Listen to me being all optimistic and shit, this is so unlike me-I must really have the holiday spirit.....must be time to put up that Christmas tree ;) that will certainly seal the deal won't it?
xoxo, Lela

Thanksgiving is COMING!
It's hard to believe that is already November 16th. Just a few short weeks and it will be Thanksgiving, and we'll all be gathered around eating homemade fixings that our beautiful family members have made. Our week is filled up with different family gatherings.
When I was younger, I used to find all the traveling and pushing and pulling back and forth a bit of a burden - but as I have gotten older, I realize what a gift it is to have so many people wanting to spent time with me and my children. It's still hard to accommodate everyone, but now I feel differently about the effort made to make it all happen.
We have Thursday-Sunday packed full of family, friends & FOOD!!!! Some of my favorite things! Now I just have to figure out what to make for all these gatherings ;)
